If only...

Makes all my problems seem breezy.
Trip on over to Sheye's Blog, read about her beautiful family, her tragic loss and leave her a message of support.

Happy Birthday to the original Superprincess.

Have been thinking of you, Sheye, all this past week.

A better day...

Today l have:-

2 x zits - in all their red-spotted glory, smack bang in the middle of my face. (I don't think any make-up in the world has the power of coverage for these babies)

1 x bad hair day (yes, really. you think the zits would be bad enough)

1 x suprise bill from the tax office for several thousand dollars (l have no idea what it's for, but they expect me to pay in less than a week)

Looking forward to crawling into bed, saying goodbye to today....

maybe when l climb out of bed tomorrow, bleary eyed, the sun will shine for me -

Maybe tomorrow will be a better day.....

Baby daddies....

make the best props!
This is still one of my favourite baby sessions. Tattooed dads and little babies=perfection...
Watching this dad with his little miss was so sweet {wrapped around his finger!}.
I recently did her 1 year photos and shes still just as cute!

This little miss is 3 months old in these pics, showing that even a bit bigger, baby art still looks good.

Fresh and new...{For Jodie}

Well, this is about as fresh as l get them. So new and tiny {less than two weeks old}.....
I was hoping for a sleepy baby, :) LOL, alas it was not to be and she was awake the whole time!!
Hopefully will post some more of this sitting in the next few days....

If you are interested in this type of session {newborn baby art} it is best done in the first 2 weeks of life {around six days old is perfect}. I know this is a hard ask, but l am willing to come to you, if it makes life easier for you. When they are this little all they want to do is sleep {which is what l want!} and if you leave it too much later they start to develop newborn acne. If you are pregnant and are thinking about this, email me at lisajo@netconnect.com.au or call me on 0488 582 543 and let me know your due date, so l can leave gaps in my schedule for you in the weeks before and after your date.

Real...

Real isn't how you are made, said the skin horse. it's a thing that happens to you. when a child loves you for a long, long time, not just to play with but REALLY loves you, then you become Real.
Does it hurt? asked the rabbit. sometimes, said the skin horse, for he was always truthful. when you are real you don't mind being hurt.
does it happen all at once, like being wound up, he asked, or bit by bit?
it doesn't happen all at once, said the skin horse. you become. it takes a long time. that's why it doesn't happen often to people who break or have sharp edges, or who have been carefully kept. generally by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in your joints and very shabby. but these things don't matter at all, because once you are Real you can't be ugly, except to people who don't understand...

Back in the archives.... (another wedding)

Digging back into past photos, here is another wedding l did a while back.....

This wedding was a while ago, but l think this first photo is still one of my favourite wedding images (it was the first photo l took on the day and she had not yet realised my camera was ready for shooting - the result is a natural relaxed expression).

If you are interested in wedding photography, with packages starting at $700, email me at

to see if your date is available.

Teddy....

l thought maybe l should post a bit more about myself and my family and our crazy life, so you can get to know us a bit better....

Now, my Charli is an attached child. You know the ones - teddy bears, blankies, stuff like that...

they have a favourite and nothing else will substitute (not even a newer version of the same thing - believe me, l've tried!)

Now the photo below is Charli's teddy. She loves it to bits. It's been down the toilet (more than once, l might add!LOL) buried in the dirt, lost and found at the shops, to bed every night, tucked under her arm most days, and around and around in the wash more times than l can count. most parts of teddy have been sewn back together at least once.

Her teddy is (ver originally) named "Teddy"! When asked by strangers what her teddy is called, she has been known to look at them like they are idiots and declare "Teddy" - like Duh!

She will not let me re-stuff it!

This week after l picked her up from kinder, l asked her who she had played with - the answer? Teddy!

"I took teddy outside to play and get fresh air".

"Teddy is my best friend".

It's nice to know she has a best friend, but l do find it slightly disturbing when she talks of her teddy like it has thoughts and feelings!! LOL

Sneak peek for Carmen....

Here is Carmen's gorgeous and dark little miss M. When l was pregnant with my first, this is what l thought my children would look like..... but they don't!!

She really made me work hard for the smiles (LOL).

Hope you like

The texture of this hat is really nice, so it works well for B/W's.
